CID starring Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava and Dayanand Shetty is all set to return with the second season after six years. After announcing the new installment, the makers released the promo of the new season, which left all the fans thrilled.

The new promo shows Abhijeet (Aditya) and Daya, who were once best friends, now stand as arch enemies in the show. The trailer reveals a shocking moment where Abhijeet shoots Daya, leaving ACP Pradyuman (Sivaji) in disbelief.

Shivaji Satam, who plays the role of ACP Pradyuman, said, “In this version of the show, Daya-Abhijeet’s bond, which was once unbreakable, is broken and the two are left facing each other. CID season two is scheduled to premiere around Christmas 2024. While the promo features the return of the lead trio, the familiar supporting cast is also expected to make a comeback – although fans will miss Dinesh Phadnis, who played Inspector Fredericks. He died in December 2023.
