Actor Chiranjeevi Sivakarthikeyan and other industry colleagues condemned the leak and noted how the film’s secrecy affects the hard work of “hundreds of people”.

Cinema is built on faith, effort and the collective dreams of many people. Such incidents impact all of us in the industry and remind us how important it is to protect our creative works.”

“My thoughts and support are with the film team. Let us all take the responsibility to respect and protect cinema. End piracy. Save cinema.”

Actor Sivakarthikeyan expressed concern on his Instagram stories, emphasizing the effort behind filmmaking: “Every film is made with the passion, blood and sweat of hundreds of people – please avoid piracy. Please wait for the theatrical release and watch it in theatres. Whoever is responsible for this will face strict action. Respect the talent. Respect the hard work. Respect the industry…#Jannanayagan…(sic).”

Actor Siby Sathyaraj on X said he was shocked by this Jan Naygan leak. He wrote, “Shocked and disturbed to hear about the leaking of footage from #JanaNayagan! Whoever did this must understand the money, effort and hard work involved in making the film. I sincerely request everyone to refrain from watching and spreading the video.”

Actor and musician Vijay Tony requested everyone on X to “support the film through legal platforms during its release.”

Actor Shantanu Bhagyaraj on his X handle urged people not to promote or encourage film piracy. His post read, “Someone’s dream is being ruined online, please don’t turn their hard work into a forward-looking clip, let the film breathe on the screen and don’t let it end on your phone (folded hands emoji).”

Producer-writer G Dhananjayan called the leaked footage a gamble of cinema. He wrote, “The entire film of #JanaNayagan has been leaked online by some rogues, which clearly establishes what @Dir_dsk calls #CinemaisaGamble in this interview as more than an art. Some people win even when everything goes right and most lose despite their honest effort. Very sad situation and many people enter into this without understanding the reality…(sic).”

According to social media claims, it is believed that this footage was taken from the editing room. Jan Naygan The makers have not released an official statement yet. Piracy has increased the challenges regarding the release of the film, no official update has come from the production team yet.

The film was originally scheduled to release on January 9, 2026, but is still stuck without CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) approval after four months.
