Doctors at the hospital performed a nasal endoscopy and found a dice lodged in the 23-year-old man’s nasal cavity, the outlet reports. Doctors discovered a “foreign object” covered in secretions. When taken out, it turned out to be a 2 cm cube.
“During nasal endoscopy, we discovered a foreign object – a white lump coated with secretions. Upon removal, it turned out to be a two-cm dice, which was partially corroded due to being stuck in her nasal cavity for a long time It was located in the lower nasal passage, causing damage to the nasal mucosa,” explained Dr. Yang Rong, an otolaryngologist at the hospital.
Doctors said the condition was particularly dangerous because the dice had stuck to the surrounding tissues over the years. Any improper handling during the procedure could have caused it to fall into his airway, potentially causing suffocation. Fortunately, the object was successfully removed through surgery.
