When one thinks of flight delays, many reasons come to mind. However, a child throwing a tantrum because he was not wearing a seat belt is not one of them. On a flight in Colombia, a ten-year-old boy was kicked off the plane because he refused to buckle up during takeoff.

The distressing incident took place on a short-haul LATAM flight in Colombia when the lazy child refused to heed crew members’ instructions or his parents’ pleas.

According to eyewitnesses, the boy’s mood change caused the flight to be delayed by an hour.

The entire incident was caught on camera and posted on social media. In the video, an agitated passenger in the background can be heard yelling at crew members to “get him off”, while another passenger yells “do something.”

While the passengers were agitated, a crew member said, “Dear passengers, we inform you that if the flight rules are not followed, we cannot start the flight. They were not followed, so we had to return.”

He said, “Now we are waiting for those passengers who do not follow the rules to please get off.”

According to local reports, security personnel arrived after an hour and removed the boy and his father from there.
