Vicky Kaushal’s period is doing a decent business in his advance booking. The film, which is based on the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is expected to record the biggest opening for a Bollywood film so far this year.

Till 11 am on Tuesday, it was sold at the box office about 1.48 lakh tickets for its early day, which was with a gross of Rs 4.21 crore. The film is based on the life and valor of Chhatrapati Sambhaji, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who fought with the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

The film also features Akshar Khanna, Diana Paint, Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta, in important roles among others. It is going to hit the screen on 14 February, and Sanam will face an interesting struggle with Teri Kasam, which has been re -released in theaters and is already doing a great business at the box office.
