Actress Rashmika Mandanna’s first look from Chhaava was released on Tuesday. She plays the role of Rani Yesubai, wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji in the film. Chhaavaa stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, playing the role of Maratha king and warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Earlier, the makers had also released several posters of Vicky’s look from the film, promising a historical-action experience like never before. The trailer of the film will be released on Wednesday. The makers announced this by sharing posters featuring Rashmika on social media. A post on Instagram by Maddock Films reads, “Behind every great king, stands a queen of unmatched strength. Introducing @rashmika_mandanna as Maharani Yesubai – the pride of Swarajya. #Chhaaawa trailer releases tomorrow! To release in theaters on 14th February 2025. #Chhaava #ChhaavaOnFeb14 (sic).”

This is the first time that the pair of Rashmika and Vicky have been seen together on screen. Chhava narrates the heroism of Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and shows him holding the power of the four great natural elements that make up the world – earth, fire, water and air.

This is also the first time that Vicky will be seen doing a great action, historical film. Chhaava is based on a Marathi book of the same title, written by Shivaji Sawant. It is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. AR Rahman has composed the music for the film. It is scheduled to release on screens on February 14.
