Shah said that the difference in salary is often more about star power than gender, while Pednekar shared that his experience with streaming shows has been more appropriate, where actors are paid based on their work and value.

The discussion was about the constant change of women’s roles in the web show and how OTTs are looking at them, giving more possibilities to hear, hear and express themselves independently.
Addressing a long -standing issue of pay inequality, the ‘Darlings’ actor said, “Honestly, I do not even know if it pays its payment between the gender. I think it is between a star and actor. So you can do a film and play the lead. If you have a star, you will never pay that kind of money.
Bhumi Pednekar agreed with this and talked about his experiences in the industry. He said, “I have a proper part of my experience. Obviously, when there is a person who has a lot of experience working with you, this conversation is meaningless. So if you are working with someone who has achieved credibility like you, then there is a similarity in the stage that is the same with my first outing.
Both actors admitted that OTT is giving women a better opportunity to play a strong and meaningful role. He also believed that the digital field is also giving him the honor that he did not always get in cinema.
