Chef Velton Saldanha has shared a video on Instagram, which gives a glimpse of Sonam Kapoor’s party menu. He revealed that he is a personal chef for Sonam Kapoor and even appeared on her post when Sonam Kapoor shared about her day’s dinner.
The post, which has now been deleted, showed how the chef had prepared an elaborate menu in the form of a thali for a small gathering of 6-8 people at the actor’s home. The caption read, “@sonamkapoor approached me to create a special menu for an intimate, elegant dinner party for 6-8 guests. We decided on a fun, relaxed Indian theme that combined thali elements with the elegance of pre-served meals – something I hadn’t seen before. It was very difficult to plan, especially with potential allergies and last-minute changes, but we were up for it. Bring it on.”

Talking about the menu, the chef wrote, “The evening began with a cocktail hour which included grazing boards and a unique Aloo Tikki Chaat, where the curd was chilled coconut curd with parsley and coriander chutney and the tikki was spiced sweet potato and almond tikkis. Dinner included dishes like Kerala-style curry, Honey Roasted Duck Masala and Crispy Garlic Brussels Sprouts.”

He also made some last-minute changes, saying, “When I found out someone didn’t eat veal, I was able to quickly make a change. They all loved the food and the way it was served, and they were complimentary about both of my employers, which I really liked.”

“Overall it was a great event. Dessert had a variety of gelato and sorbets – simple, straightforward and fun, plus a cheeky kiss for everyone, it was clearly a mood,” he further mentioned, concluding by saying, “It feels great to do it.”
