Charli XCX has received her first major nomination since 2015 for her hit track, Brat. According to the Grammy nominations list released on Friday, November 8, the artist managed to earn a total of seven nominations.
XCX has signed with some popular artists including Billie Eilish, Post Malone and Kendrick Lamar. With the honors received by the artist, she surpasses Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappelle Rhone, who have managed to receive six nominations at the ceremony.
The categories in which Charli received nominations included Best Pop Solo Performance for Apple, Best Pop Group/Duo Performance for singing on the Guess Remix with Eilish, Best Dance Pop Recording, Best Dance Electronic Album and Best Music Video . The track is titled Under 360. Brat is also nominated in the categories of Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
In previous years, the musician had only been nominated for two Grammy Awards, which were for his guest vocals on Iggy Azalea’s Fancy.
According to media reports, Brat is one of the most critically acclaimed LPs and has been the talk of the town for most of the year.

As for some other surprising nominations, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappelle Rhone have become the only artists to receive nominations in major categories at the Grammy Awards. Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet album, as well as his hit track, Expresso, are nominated under the categories of Best Album, Record of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
The same is the case with Chappelle Rhone, who won a nomination for her album, The Rise and Fall of Midwest Princess.
Meanwhile, the curtain on the Grammy Awards will rise on February 1, 2025.
