Chandrika Dixit, popularly known as Vada Pav Girl, spoke to IndiaToday.in about her journey from running a ‘Vada Pav’ stall to participating in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. She also talked about the controversies related to her life.

‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, which launched over the weekend, has an interesting line-up of contestants; one of them is Chandrika Dixit aka the Vada Pav girl. In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, the businesswoman spoke about herself and the controversies she has been embroiled in.

“Honestly, when ‘Bigg Boss’ came to me, I thought someone was trying to fool me. It was a big surprise because I never expected this to happen. Till my last contract, I was suspicious, I thought it was a prank,” he told us before participating in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’.

We spoke to him about how he got his start Veg Vada Pav He also got himself into controversy by going against the police. He said, “Nothing like that (There is nothing like that). People can say whatever they want to say, but I have never done anything for ‘Bigg Boss’. I am a normal Indian woman who had to do business to keep my family alive. As far as the controversy is concerned, I went against the police for my right and the safety of my family. I know the truth and hence, such negativity never affects me. I have worked hard for my family and made it for myself. I have no shame and I have the confidence to go and sell Veg Vada Pav Even after winning the show, I couldn’t get back to my car.”

He also spoke on claims that it becomes easier for people to start shopping carts and join shows like ‘Bigg Boss’: “The virality that people are seeing right now is happening now, but I have worked for 27 years. I have also faced a lot of difficulties in my life when we never had money for food. We have bought a lot of food items sometimes. AnchorAnd kept myself alive without the supervision of my parents. I never started my business to go viral. I just wanted to earn for myself and my family. Also, if it is so easy for people to go to ‘Bigg Boss’ Veg Vada Pav If you have the card, please go ahead. Everybody should do that.”

Chandrika Dixit further said that her husband quit his job to take care of their business. She said that her mother-in-law has also chipped in to keep the stall running. “I have written the SOP in detail and given it to them. The stall will run and we will continue to keep our customers happy. They are also like family to me and I am sure they will also support me with their votes.”

In the end, the ‘BB OTT 3’ contestant shared that she has been following the reality show very keenly, and has been a fan of Sidharth Shukla. She concluded, “I was very sad when he died, and that’s when I stopped watching the show.”
