Can’t wait: Karan Johar, Siddharth Anand and others react to Ramayan teaser
Other celebrities including director Karan Johar and Siddharth Anand have praised the teaser of Ramayan. The first part of the mythological film will release on Diwali 2026. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol and others.

Many celebrities have expressed their appreciation for the teaser of the upcoming film RamayanaIn which Ranbir Kapoor is in the role of Lord Ram. The teaser was released on Thursday on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
Filmmaker Karan Johar wrote on Instagram that he can’t wait to watch the film. He said, “Ranbir Kapoor embodies Lord Ram with divine reverence and purity… His last turn of hearing his name was a glimpse of this wonderful first look.”

Celebrity reaction on Ramayan teaser

Siddharth Anand also praised the teaser, saying, “Brilliant! Ranbir nails it for me as Lord Ram. I can’t wait to celebrate Diwali with #Ramayan on the biggest screen this year! Nitish sir, your craft is amazing. Namit, you have done exactly what you promised.”

Actor Sargun Mehta, whose husband Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman in the film, commented on Instagram, “Still haven’t got over this first look. Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram in all glory, grace, innocence and purity. Visuals. Soundtrack. Scale. Complete cinema (sic).”

The makers of Ramayan have released a teaser of about 2.5 minutes which shows Ranbir in multiple avatars including a king, an ideal son, a warrior and a righteous man. The teaser introduces Lord Ram as an eternal protector and hero, saying, “Whenever chaos erupts in the world, he always responds. Ruling our hearts for over 5,000 years – our savior, our hero, the legend.”
Director Nitesh Tiwari described Ramayana As a story of “choices, consequences and the burden of doing what is right”, the emotional depth of the narrative is emphasized. Ranbir shared his perspective on portraying Ram, saying, “I don’t think I am here to represent Ram. I am here to learn from him. There is a simplicity and purity in him that is very rare, and trying to understand and assimilate it has been an extremely humbling experience.”
Ramayana Produced by Namit Malhotra and stars Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Yash as Ravana. This film is going to be released during Diwali this year.
