Ananya Panday, who is promoting her recently released series Call Me Bay, shares a close bond with her childhood friends Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor. The Call Me Bay actress often talks about her equation with her best friends Suhana and Shanaya. The two praised the 25-year-old star after the trailer of her debut series was released recently. Ananya Panday has now revealed the song she dances to with her best friend Shanaya Kapoor. It has a connection to Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
During a new interview with Ishq Tak, Ananya Panday was asked which song she always listens to in her girl gang. Referring to her dance performances with Shanaya, Ananya revealed that they have a common song, Sheila Ki Jawani, which they enjoy together.
The Pati Patni Aur Woh actress revealed that the track Sheila Ki Jawani from Tees Maar Khan is Shanaya’s favourite song. “Ek gana jo mere gang mein, hamesha dance karenge if woh gana bajega… and it is actually Shanaya’s favourite song, Sheila Ki Jawani. (The one song that we will always dance to in my gang is Sheila Ki Jawani),” she expressed.
Showing hand gestures, Ananya further revealed that whenever the song plays, she plays the role of Akshay Kumar in the song and Shanaya becomes Katrina Kaif as Sheela.
Earlier, Ananya Panday made headlines for attending the premiere of Call Me Bae in Mumbai. Ananya’s best friends Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor also attended the screening. Suhana arrived with her rumoured boyfriend The Archies co-star Agastya Nanda, while Shanaya posed alone.
While talking to Pinkvilla, Ananya Panday recently spoke about her relationship with Shanaya Kapoor and discussed if she considers her best friend as a competitor in the industry. Ananya denied this and said that Shanaya has been her friend since before she was born.
The Call Me Bae actress said, “We have been friends since the time I was in Shanaya’s mother’s womb and I used to sleep on her stomach. So, practically we were friends even before birth. So, there is no competition. It’s like family.”
