Well, the internet is abuzz after a viral video in which a California father showed his detailed Trader Joe’s shopping receipt. Many X users suggested shopping at other stores for better prices. Take a look at some of the responses:
One user wrote, “Shopping at Trader Joe’s instead of Costco with 6 kids is crazy.” Another said, “Take them to Walmart or something.” A third said, “It would be 1/3 the price at Aldi.”
Several people noticed that many of the foods purchased were expensive ready-made products. One commented, “I have four children. With a simplified shopping list including flour, butter, milk, oatmeal, honey, rice, two whole chickens, cocoa powder, eggs, medium cheddar, ground beef, olive oil, raisins, and coffee beans, I spend about US$100-150.”
