Budget 2025: Food Safety and Farming
1. Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojna
The scheme aims to support 100 districts with low agricultural productivity, which benefits more than 1.7 crore farmers by providing better resources and training.
2. Promote makhana production in Bihar

Efforts will be directed towards achieving self -sufficiency in major pulse varieties such as Tor, Urad, and Masoor, as well as reduced dependence on imports of edible oils.
7. Cotton farming improves efficiency
Five years initiative to increase cotton production and improve the livelihood of cotton farmers.
8. Installation of a national institute of Food Technology
A new institute will be established in Bihar to promote food processing research and development, promoting innovation and economic development.
9. Food processing, FPO and skill development expansion
The agricultural price chain will be invested in improving the development, encouraging the development of the food and beverage industry and supporting the farmers led by the farmer.
10. Kisan credit card increase increase
Under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, the credit limit for farmers has been increased from Rs 23 lakh to Rs 75 lakh, giving them more financial access to invest in their fields.
