A 28-year-old British-Ghani artist has opted to end his life with euthanasia rather than living with a mental illness. In a emotional Instagram video posted in December, Mr. Joseph said, “I am a bipolar and I moved to the Netherlands to legally eliminate my life.” The 28 -year -old shared his struggles with mental illness. He said that he arises in “severe pain” every day, due to which he got the option of a medical aided death. He revealed that he spent five years considering the decision before filing an official request with the Euthanasia Specialist Center in the Netherlands.
He said, “I am not saying that life (as an event) is not worth living. It is at all. What I am saying is that my mental weight has become completely unbearable,” he has written in the caption. “I am not special, like many people in the 20s; frequent burnouts, debt burden, paralyzed depression, violent media cycle and AI’s diastopian reality … everyone’s weight is heavy. Reality I am facing bipolar.
He said, “Now more than ever before, there is a possibility of resting with cases of dignity,” he said. “I’m ready to go home.”

He also received more than 100 messages from strangers, inviting him to dinner with him, which quickly inspired him to launch his worldwide dinner tour called ‘The Last Supper Project’.
As PeopleSo far, Mr. Joseph has traveled to Paris, Milan, Brussels and Berlin for 57 dinner, which he has documented on social media. They have more than 120 dinner plans through August.

He said, “I still wake up with breathing, in fact there is pain associated with my bipolar disorder. There is a large amount of ambition,” he told the outlet. He said, “I hope that (people with chronic mental illness) have been seen through my existence and my decision to live as authentically as possible. If I am doing so for the rest of my life, I will not worry,” he said.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, bipolar disorder is a brave-affected disease of the brain that causes excessive changes in mood and energy levels.
