Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor is spilling the beans on being a fan of High School Musical amid working with Zac Efron in his upcoming film Famous. While chatting with Craig Melvin on the Today show, the actress also shared her “amazing” experience working with the actor. Dynevor revealed that it was an exciting project to work on and hoped that audiences would enjoy the film.
Speaking to the Today show host, the actress revealed that she never got a chance to tell her current co-star how much of a fan she was during their younger days.
She shared with Melvin, “He’s amazing in this movie. I can’t wait for people to see it. It’s such an exciting movie.” The Fair Play star added, “And Zach, I never told him this, but I was the biggest fan of High School Musical. So it was amazing to work with him.”

Dylan Dreyer, who joined Dynevor in the interview, asked the actress if she ever felt star-struck around Efron. To his question, the British native replied, “Yeah, a little bit, but he has a very sweet character.”
The 17 Again actor got his first successful role in the Disney series, in which he played Troy Bolton.
Meanwhile, Dynevor and Efron were announced to be collaborating on a film in September 2024, and Deadline first reported the news. The film, directed by Jody Hill, is based on a novel of the same name.
As far as the plot of Famous is concerned, the official synopsis reads, “Lance Dunquist has an asset that’s going to change his life – he has the face of a movie star. And not just any movie star – Lance is the ultimate embodiment of a Hollywood icon, James Jensen.”
It further states, “Lance is about to travel to Los Angeles to pursue his dream. Lance is going to become famous, no matter what it takes.”
The release date of Famous has not been announced yet.
