Karthi has been exploring different genres and working with different directors, which shows his versatility in his film career. He is now preparing to work with a new director before reuniting with Lokesh Kanagaraj for Kaithi 2.
According to sources, Karthi will next be making a film with Thanakaran director Tamizh, who was earlier an assistant to director Vetrimaaran. Moreover, the film will begin after the actor completes his current project Sardar 2.

The upcoming film with Karthi and director Tamizh is expected to begin shooting in October 2024 and will be financed by Dream Warrior Pictures. Next, the actor will join hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj for the sequel of Kaithi, which is to be financed by the same production company.
Currently, Karthi is busy shooting for his second sequel film Sardaar 2, which is to be shot in India, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. According to Pinkvilla’s previous exclusive information, 40% of the film is going to be shot in international locations. This will be the most expensive film of the actor’s career so far.
The shooting of the film is likely to begin from July and is expected to hit the big screens by 2025. Apart from this, the film is also expected to rope in Yuvan Shankar Raja to compose the music tracks and score.
Karthi’s field of work
Karthi will now be seen in the lead role in the film Meyazhagan directed by C Prem Kumar. This action drama film produced by Surya and Jyothika’s 2D Entertainment also stars Arvind Swamy in the lead role.
Apart from the lead cast, the film also features Sri Divya, Rajkiran, Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash and many others in key roles. Apart from this, Karthi is also playing the lead role in the action comedy film Va Vaathiyar directed by Kakapo’s Nalan Kumarasamy.
The upcoming film stars Krithi Shetty in the female lead role, while Sathyaraj, Anandaraj, Rajkiran and Karunakaran play prominent roles.
