The reason the fan got wet is still unknown, although Salinopolis police have said they are investigating the case. According to Brazilian magazine Estoy Gente, Para Civil police have indicated that witnesses have testified and authorities have requested reports from experts.

According to a report by Brazilian media outlet Diario do Para, Mr Sasaki suffered an electric shock while playing the guitar, while most reports indicated he died after being electrocuted by a fan. The Solar Hotel shared a statement on Instagram and said they were cooperating with the investigation, “Hotel Solar deeply regrets the passing of dear Ayres Sasaki. Since yesterday, we have been fully dedicated to supporting your family and taking care of the necessary arrangements. We are in direct contact with your family, offering you all the support we can during this difficult time.”

“We reiterate our commitment to fully cooperate with the competent authorities to provide the necessary clarifications. Our condolences are with the family and friends of Ayres Sasaki during this difficult time,” he said.

“We are contacting the people who were with him at the time to find out how everything happened. We will collect all the information in a statement that we will release to the press,” the singer’s aunt, Rita Matos, told the Brazilian outlet.

In addition to singing, Mr. Sasaki also worked as an urban planner. He is survived by his wife. The couple were married 11 months ago. His wife Mariana posted a message on her Instagram Stories and said, “I want to thank you for every message of affection and consolation, every prayer during this difficult time. I have not been able to read all the messages yet, but as I feel better, I will respond to each one. Thank you.”
