Venom: The Last Dance, starring Tom Hardy, continues to do well at the box office. The third installment of the much-loved superhero franchise has grossed approximately US$325 million globally, with a large portion coming from international markets.
The film, directed by Kelly Marcel, earned an impressive US$1.6 million on its second Thursday, down 41% from the previous Thursday. The film remained the top choice among all other releases in the US. Venom: The Last Dance’s total gross currently stands at US$98.6 million at the domestic box office.
It is set to touch the US$100 million mark tonight. Looking at the speed at which it is trending, it is expected that Tom Hardy’s film will find its footing in the US markets around USD 140 million to USD 150 million. Although the film has already emerged as a success story, it will not be able to surpass the lifetime collections of the previous two installments. Venom: The Last Dance is looking to end its global theatrical run at US$400 million.
Wild robot takes full advantage of US Election Day; Close to US$275 million globally
The Wild Robot is doing well at the box office. The animation film took advantage of Election Day in the US and saw incredible growth. The film grossed an impressive US$1.4 million on its sixth Tuesday, an 80% increase from the previous Tuesday despite playing on fewer screens.
The US cume of The Wild Robot currently stands at around US$125 million. The film is set to beat the domestic collections of Migration this weekend. It also performed well in international markets where it grossed over US$148 million.
The worldwide gross of The Wild Robot is heading towards the US$275 million mark.
Tom Hanks’ ‘Here’ suffers loss at worldwide box office
The Tom Hanks and Robin Wright starrer drama film continues to struggle at the box office. The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, had a mixed to average opening, leading to poor business at the ticket window.
The film grossed only US$7 million in its first week at the worldwide box office; Of which US$5.3 million came in the first weekend alone. It will be interesting to see whether the film registers any growth in its second weekend. For now, it’s going to be a disappointing ending here.
