Box Office: James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash records good earnings on fourth Tuesday, Qum earns Rs 220 crore

Avatar: Fire and Ash recorded a good growth of 45 percent on its fourth Tuesday, taking Rs. Tally 1.10 crores. This brings its fourth week revenue to Rs. 9 crore gross, which is expected to end at Rs. 10.50 crore to Rs. 11 crores. The sci-fi adventure action film’s earnings have now crossed Rs. Earning 220 crores at Indian box office.

The James Cameron directorial also managed to hold a good fifth week, taking its first estimated lifetime tally to Rs. 230 crores to approximately Rs. 235 crore to Rs. Earning of 240 crores in India. However, it will depend on how it fares after the release of Border 2 in India. Although the film proved to be a clean hit at the box office, it could not match the glory of Avatar: The Way of Water.

For the record, the previous film in the franchise, Avatar: The Way of Water, was a blockbuster venture in India. The film had earned more than Rs 10 crore. Earning Rs 465 crore in its entire run, it became the highest-grossing Hollywood film of all time in India. By comparison, the latest installment will end on a much lower note.

On the global front, James Cameron’s film has earned over US$1.23 billion by the end of its fourth weekend. Fire & Ash is expected to close its entire turnover at around US$1.50 billion to US$1.70 billion.
