While the dramatic end of Rajinikanth’s porter is decreasing, the film still has some speed to cross the 500 crore mark at the box office. Supported by Sun Pictures on a large -scale budget, Cool saw gross of more than Rs 490 crore at the box office around the world by the end of its third weekend. Rajinikanth starrer earned Rs 316 crore from Indian markets alone, out of which Rs 139.75 crore came from home turf. In addition, it raked more than $ 19.85 million internationally, which is Rs 174 crore according to Indian currency.
The film requires only Rs 10 crore more to hit a mark of Rs 500 crore at the box office worldwide, which is likely to be in a few weeks. Since the trend has slowed down, to achieve this achievement, one has to stick to theaters for at least two weeks.
If the film manages to achieve this, then the third rupee for Kuli Rajinikanth will be a 500 crore grosser. First, he did it with 2.0 and jailer. Interestingly, 2.0 still holds the record for the highest -grossing Kollywood film at the box office worldwide.
