Cool and War 2 are two latest releases of Indian cinema. While Rajinikanth starring is well performed, later struggling to gain very important traction. Since both films were released on Thursday, they enjoyed the 4-day expanded opening weekend. However, the exhibitors are happy as the two Independence Day release has brought the audience back to theaters.
Cool and War 2 collectively rakes for Rs 430 crore during the Independence Day weekend
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraja, Coolie opened with Rs 75.50 crore. It raked 63.50 crore on day 2 and Rs 47.50 crore on day 3. According to estimates, the film exceeded Rs 44 crore on 44, making the opening weekend Cum gross Rs 230 crore at the Indian box office.
On the other hand, War 2 ran his box office with Rs 59 crore. It collected Rs 67 crore on Independence Day, followed by Rs 38 crore on the third day. Estimates suggests that the film added Rs 35 crore to Tally on its fourth day, causing a total of Rs 200 crore in the initial weekend in India.
Collectively, both Cool and War 2 are gross of Rs 430 crore at the domestic box office. If both films had performed with their full capacity, the joint figure would have easily crossed the mark of Rs 500 crore in the first weekend.
Globally, both films have seen a mark of Rs 600 crore in the first four days of their dramatic run.

Coolie performed best in his home turf along with Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Conversely, War 2 dominated the North India belt with a solid difference.
Both Independence Days are expected from the release of the Independence Day that their dramatic runs are expected to end on the same similar figure in India, in which Cool has struggled. However, Lokesh Kanagaraja film will maintain a big difference in international markets. It will be interesting to see if both of them can collectively reach a mark of Rs 1000 crore globally, as none of them can now achieve magical figures of four digits alone.
