Thamma starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui did well in its second week, earning Rs. 17 crores to the tally. The film earned Rs. Earned Rs 90 lakh on its third Thursday, which is the first time that the film went below Rs. 1 crore figure.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the vampire comedy drama made its theatrical earnings of Rs. It collected Rs 119.35 crore at the Indian box office in 17 days, of which Rs. 102.25 crores came in the first 10 days. The film should aim to hold on well against Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam starrer HAQ this weekend to record a healthy total by the end of its theatrical run.
As per current trends, Thamma is poised to become MHCU’s highest grossing standalone film, surpassing Stree’s Rs. 124 crore nett. It is expected that next week it will surpass Shraddha Kapoor’s film. Depending on how the film performs, its theatrical collection is expected to be around Rs. 132 crore to Rs. 137 crore net, domestically.
