Amaran released on October 31, 2024 at the box office along with Lucky Baskar, Brother, Bloody Beggar and KA. The biographical war drama starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi has been going strong since its release. It is safe to say that the film is a blockbuster. Amaran earned around Rs 91 crore in the first week in Tamil Nadu and the second weekend has started with a bang.
Amaran earned a huge amount of Rs 6 crore on the second Friday in Tamil Nadu.
Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran grossed Rs 16 crore at the box office and maintained its collections around the same figure during the Diwali weekend and then remained consistent on weekdays. After collecting Rs 91 crore in its extended Week 1, the Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi-starrer earned Rs 6 crore on its second Friday. The collections increased from Thursday and this is a perfect indicator to show how big the second weekend is going to be. The war-drama will cross the Rs 100 crore mark in the state tomorrow i.e. on its 10th day. The global collection will also cross Rs 200 crore.

Amaran is the biggest hit of this Diwali
Amaran is set to become the second highest grossing Tamil film this year. Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time still holds the top spot. Needless to say, this is the biggest hit of this Diwali. It has now been confirmed that Amaran’s final box office collection will be double that of Sivakarthikeyan’s previous biggest hit Don.
In Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead role of late Indian Army officer Major Mukund Varadarajan. Sai Pallavi has been cast as his on-screen wife, Indu Rebecca Varghese.
