Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor has condemned Ranveer Allabia’s recent controversial comments, saying that the freedom of speech does not justify socially unacceptable statements. Addressing the controversy, Kapoor made his stand clear and said that he does not support such things.
According to ANI, Boney Kapoor said, “What he did is something that I do not support at all.” There are boundaries. Self-sessions have also been done, “he said.
Kapoor further talked about the importance of the responsible speech, especially on public platforms. “Inside your house, whatever you want to talk about, but on social platforms, you need to be careful and you need to be disciplined,” he said.
Meanwhile, between the backlash, comedian Samay Raina has removed all videos related to India’s Got latent show. On 12 February, he released his first statement while addressing the controversy.
It was read in his post, “Whatever is happening is too much for me. I have removed all the latent videos of India from my channel. My sole purpose was to make people laugh and a good time. I will cooperate with all agencies to ensure that their inquiry has ended (SIC).
YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia released a public apology through a video message, accepting the “default in the decision” on their share and admitted that “Comedy was not their fort.”
On 12 February, social media affected Apoorva Makhija and Utubar Ashish Chanchalani, who shared the stage with Samay Raina and Ranveer Allabia, recorded their statements with the Mumbai Police in connection with the case.
