Boiled, fried or tandoori, momos are really healthy? Rujuta dikar answer
From the mountains to the corners of the road, Momose has traveled across the boundaries to become a soul snack for many people. But beyond taste, are they really healthy? Celebrity Nutritionist Ruzuta Diwakar has an opinion.
The college canteen, high -end cafes, or simply a road corner, with the aroma of a steaming plate of Momo -with your besty -spicy red chutney (and sometimes a creamy mayo) -the final rest snack.
Whether the rainy day or not, a food soul is getting satisfied with every juicy bite. But in today’s health-first world, whether these bite size happiness are really as harmless as they seem, or calorie bombs that burst with taste and unhealthy fat? Well, Celebrity Nutritionist Rujuta Divkar advised to take precautions.
If you are a momo lover reading it, you can’t like it (or you can?).
Are Momo healthy?
Once a niche of Tibetan and Himalayan belt, Momo is now a pan-Indian spirit. Steamed, Afghani, Tandoori, or Butter-Located, various areas add their own spices and taste to the mixture. But OG is only one – a little flour, vegetables, meat, and steam. Looks healthy, don’t you? But Divakar feels that it is not so.
In an interview with LallantopShe shares that all dumplings are equally bad. “When you are trekking in a place like speech or kinnur, and then you have momo in someone’s homestay, when you have culturally suitable food. Here, it is just street food,” she chuckles.

Diwekar is one that swears homemade food, seasonal yield and a balanced lifestyle. The secret of staying healthy leads to life inside everyone’s homes and not in imported objects and concepts. Therefore, she often emphasizes consuming regularly suitable and seasonal diets as it is more effective and helps establish better relationships with food.
But this does not mean that you need to boycott a juicy plate of indigenous dimsom (as something calls it) at every sight. (PSST … a silver layer, a smooth one)
She also shares that if you have a healthy lifestyle, it is okay to consume these fluffy happiness once a week.
However, even once a week’s enjoyment needs caution. It is necessary to take care of the hygiene practices of the stall or CAF. An inexpensive plate is not a problem, an untoward situation and poor quality materials. And if those viral videos have taught us anything, it is to be extra careful and enjoy.
Another point of debate around Momo is their base component – flour, often convicted for the old saying Meda Stuck in the intestine.
Does Meda Really stuck?
According to Diwakar, there is no such thing. She says, “Agar aap accha kha rahe ho toh sab nikal bhi jata hai. Nahna from the main is such that such a process is like this. (I never know any process that claims that the dough can get stuck inside the stomach. If you are eating well, it will all digest it).
Therefore, there is cruelty of this case, yet – eat well, sleep well, and stay well.
While a steaming plate of Momo never prevents that unmistakable, it is on you if you once make it brave once in joy or pick up a bite -shaped unhealthy calorie.
