A stressful moment came on the set of the upcoming Tamil Sports Drama ‘Mandandi’ when a boat carrying the crew members capted the middle-shoot from the Ramanathapuram coast. The team led by actor Sori and director Mathimaran Pugazahdi was being filmed to an important maritime sequence, when the accident was sending nervousness in the unit and resulting in a loss of equipment worth about Rs 1 crore.

Thanks to the rapid action of local fishermen, two cinematographers were thrown into water, just saved in time, increasing a possible tragedy. Fortunately, all major artists and crew members survived without serious injuries.

Since then the shoot has been temporarily stopped as officials investigate the cause of the accident. According to initial reports, the boat carrying the filming gear and crew members was unexpectedly overturned in the middle of the sea. Marine police have registered a case and are investigating whether there were proper security measures during the shooting.

‘Mandadi’, which marks the latest cooperation with Sori’s ‘Rocky’ director Mathimaran Pugzhadi, has introduced Telugu actor Suha as a female lead as anti -Mahima and Mahima Nambiar. Veteran actor Satyaraj also plays an important role, with Sachan Namidas, Ravindra Vijay and Achuth Kumar.
