Vashu Bhagnani is on the internet after many cast and crew claimed not to pay their dues after working in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. However, the producer claims it is the other way around and blames director Ali Abbas Zafar for misappropriation of funds. Actor Ronit Roy, who worked on the project, has shared his views on the same incident and vowed to never work with Vashu again.
Speaking over Zoom, Ronit started by admitting that he feels lucky to have a major part of his acting fees paid for BMCM. He further said, “The money was to come from Vashu Bhagnani and it came from Vashu Bhagnani, but it happened only after the intervention of Himanshu Mehra (who works with BMCM director Ali Abbas Zafar).”
He said that there was a lot of delay in the payment of his employees and the security company and this was also cleared after pressure from Mehra. While Vashu claims that Zafar embezzled Dubai’s shooting subsidy, Ronit says that his employees were only paid from those funds. “In fact, Himanshu and Zafar are now just trying to see that maximum payment is made in minimum time,” Roy said.

Ronit Roy was asked about Ali Abbas Zafar’s claim of not being paid over Rs 7 crore, which he termed as ‘common sense’. The 58-year-old actor was asked about Bhagnani’s alleged claim that Zafar had hijacked the film. Roy again gave an opinion when he said, “Vashu was on the sets every day. He is a veteran. It’s hard to believe how they didn’t realize this on set.
When the actor was asked if he would like to work with Vashu Bhagnani again, Ronit laughed, paused and clarified, “No”. On the signed note, Roy described his working experience on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan as ‘traumatic’. For those unaware, this 2024 film was headlined by Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who is yet to comment on this ongoing fiasco.
