Speaking to Galata Plus, Bhavana said that her distance from Malayalam cinema was not pre-planned. She said, “I don’t plan anything these days. It was never my plan, but it just happened that way. I suddenly felt that I should stay away from Malayalam cinema. Maybe it was a momentary thought, but I felt comfortable that way.”

He said that the break was completely his choice and he kept getting offers during that period. “Still, some of my friends from Malayalam cinema kept calling me and asking me to do a film, at least to listen to a script. From Aashiq Abu to Prithviraj, Jayasurya and even a Mammootty film. But I said no.”

Further explaining the reason behind the refusal, she said, “If you ask me why I said no, I don’t really have an answer, but I was okay with it. I had no plans of doing Malayalam films. I was comfortable doing Kannada films, going back home and staying in my comfort zone.”
