Blinkit will now allow users to book an ambulance through its app. The instant commerce platform that is already one of the leading service providers for groceries, fashion items, stationery and more, on Thursday announced the launch of its 10-minute Blinkit ambulance service. Right now the service will only be available in one city but details shared by Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa indicate that this is a big initiative from the company and it is expected to become widely available in the coming months and years.

Using this service users can book an ambulance in emergency situations. Blinkit promises that an ambulance will be dispatched and reach the person who has booked it within 10 minutes.

Currently the Blinkit ambulance service is in its testing phase. These services are starting in Gurugram from today i.e. 2nd January. Users in the area will soon see the option to call for an ambulance through the Blinkit app.

Sharing more details about the features of the newly launched ambulance service, Blinkit Founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa said that Blinkit ambulances are equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinder, automated external defibrillator, stretcher, monitor, suction Machine included. and critical emergency medicines and injections.

Each ambulance also has a paramedic, an assistant and a trained driver to assist users during emergencies. “Our aim is to provide a reliable and affordable ambulance service that can respond rapidly to emergencies,” Dhindsa said.

Highlighting the goal of Blinkit’s ambulance service, Dhindsa in his post on Twitter mentioned that the company will operate the service at an affordable price for customers and Blinkit is not looking to make profits from it. Additionally, the service will initially be rolled out in phases, with Gurugram being the first city.

How to book ambulance service on Blinkit?

As for how to avail the service, Blinkit will announce the availability as it rolls out the service in phases. Users will be able to book an ambulance directly through the Blinkit app. Once available, users will see an ambulance icon next to the “Print” option on the Blinkit app. By clicking on the option, users can add their address where they want the ambulance to arrive and book the service, just like they buy groceries or use Blinkit’s printing services.

Once an ambulance is booked, users will see the details of the vehicle as well as details of the medical assistance that will be available in the vehicle to assist in case of medical emergencies.
