The soundtrack for It Ends With Us is star-studded. The film, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 bestseller, stars Blake Lively, Jenny Slate and Justin Baldoni, who also directs.
The first trailer uses Taylor Swift’s My Tears Ricochet, while the second trailer features Ethel Cain’s Strangers and her cover of Britney Spears’ Everytime. Lively, 36, personally thanked celebrities like Spears and Swift for their contributions.
The film’s soundtrack features Cherry by Lana Del Rey, Skinny Love by Birdy, Love the Hell Out of You by Lewis Capaldi and With Arms Wide Open by Creed, as well as Hymn by Rhye, Girl in Calico by Towers and Everybody Needs a Friend by Shivon Scott.
Additionally, the soundtrack features Money (That’s What I Want) by Barrett Strong, Praise You by Fatboy Slim, Dawn Chorus by Thom Yorke, and White Iverson by Post Malone.
In addition, the soundtrack includes Dark Rain by Drama, Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby by Cigarettes After Sex and Carry This Picture by Dashboard Confessional. Also included are I Don’t by Brittany Howard, Fruits of My Labor by Lucinda Williams and Horizon by Aldous Harding.
In a recent Instagram Story, Lively shared that she, along with music supervisor Season Kent and editor Shane Reed, put her heart into the final soundtrack. It Ends With Us will be released in theaters on August 9.
