The recipe for Bihari Matar’s pulses was shared by Instagram handle @cookwithshivangi_. To make it:

  • Grind fresh peas with ginger, garlic, chilli and black pepper in a food processor.
  • Once once done, transfer the mixture to the pressure cooker. Add turmeric, salt, and hing, and pressure cook up to 3 whistle.
  • Next, heat mustard oil in hard work and add cumin, bay leaf, dried red chili, cloves, onion and green chillies. Well saute.
  • Add fresh coriander stem with chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomato becomes soft in the texture.
  • Now, add salt, turmeric and chili powder. Once the masala starts releasing oil, add boiled peas and give everything a good mixture.
  • Add water to accommodate stability and boil it for 15 minutes
  • Garnish the lentils with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot!
