The finale of Bigg Boss Tamil 8 will take place on Sunday, January 19 at 6 pm. The event will be telecast live on OTT platform Disney+Hotstar and Vijay TV channel.

The eighth season, hosted by Vijay Sethupathi, began with 18 contestants along with wild card entrants. After weeks of eliminations, five contestants have made it to the finals. They are Muthukumaran, Pavitra Janani, Ryan, VJ Vishal and Soundarya. Of these, Ryan is the only wild card contestant.

Actor and host Jacqueline was the last contestant to be eliminated before the finale. Previous contestants from this season include Arun Prasad, Deepak, Manjiri, Raanav, Tarshika, Anshidha, Arnav, Ravinder, Sunita Gogoi, Sacha Namidas, Varshini, Rhea, Shiva, Anandi, Ranjeet, Jeffrey, Satya and Dharsha Gupta.
