Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte walked out of the Bigg Boss 18 house on the evening of 14 October. While his team assured that the lawyer will be back in the house soon, sources close to the show revealed that a decision regarding his return has not been taken yet.

According to sources, Gunaratna Sadavarte had a court hearing on Monday, which he did not attend, due to which the judges pulled him up. As matters got affected in his absence, his wife and team decided to throw him out of Salman Khan’s show.

“He was walked out on Monday and his next hearing is scheduled to take place soon. He wants to come back to the house and seeing the way he is entertaining the audience, the producers would also like him to come on the show. However, no definite decision has been taken in this regard,” the source told India Today Digital.

His eviction from the show will be telecast in tonight’s (Tuesday) episode. Over the past 10 days, the lawyer’s unique style of speaking and his hilarious one-liners have made him quite popular inside and outside the show.

Even host Salman Khan enjoyed interacting and teasing Sadavarte during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Recently, Sadavarte came into limelight when organizations like PETA and PFA criticized him for bringing his pet donkey to the show.

All about the case of lawyer Gunaratna Sadavarte

Earlier, India Today news team had reported that the Bombay High Court on Monday had pulled up the lawyer for missing the court session as he was in the reality show Bigg Boss house. The court is currently hearing several petitions challenging the Maratha reservation, which is an important legal issue in Maharashtra.

Sadavarte, who along with his wife Jayshree Patil had filed the petition against reservation, was not present for the hearing. The court began hearing arguments against Maratha reservation in June. Previous advocates including Pradeep Sancheti and Anil Anturkar represented the petitioners before the arguments were completed by advocate Subhash Jha on Monday.

The bench took note of Sadavarte’s absence and questioned the seriousness of the case. When it was explained to him that he had gone for a special event, the Chief Justice expressed disappointment, saying, “He is enjoying better company there.”

The court has scheduled the next hearing for November 19, when Advocate General Dr Birendra Saraf will present the Maharashtra government’s case. The bench made it clear that no petitioner would be allowed to argue during the next hearing, which would focus on the arguments of the Advocate General.
