Amitabh Bachchan surprised fans by making an unexpected appearance at the ‘Kalki 2898 E.D.’ event, touching producer Ashwani Dutt’s feet to pay his respects. The veteran actor praised the Vaijayanti Movies owner, saying he is “the most simple and humble human being” he has ever met.

The Bollywood veteran, who has stayed away from media interactions and promotional events for several years, made a rare exception on the occasion. He was accompanied by co-stars Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas.

During the event, Amitabh Bachchan bowed down and touched the feet of producer Ashwani before he was given the first ticket of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Praising him, the ‘Piku’ actor said, “He is always the first to pick you up on the set and at the airport. Whenever we are doing something that they feel we shouldn’t do because it will cause trouble, (If we ever do something that he thinks we shouldn’t do because it will cause discomfort) he says, ‘Don’t let them do these stunts or have you taken precautions or not?’ Nobody thinks like that. Thank you very much sir.”

Amitabh Bachchan, who plays Ashwathama in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, was given the first ticket of the film. In many pictures going viral from the film’s event in Mumbai, Kamal Haasan was also seen sharing the frame. The veteran Tamil actor has done a cameo role in the film.

C Ashwini Dutt of Vaijayanti Movies presented the first ticket of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ to the veteran actors. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will release in theatres on June 27, 2024 in multiple languages. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the science-fiction film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles.
