The makers of Bhoot Bangla starring Akshay Kumar and Tabu have announced the new release date of the much-awaited horror comedy film. Earlier it was scheduled to release on April 2.
Release date of upcoming horror comedy ghost banglaHeadlined by actor Akshay Kumar, has been revised. The announcement confirmed that the film will now hit theaters on May 15, 2026.
Balaji Motion Pictures shared the news on social media, writing, “Churi se ek khabar aayi hai! (The news has come from the mansion)” and added, “Doors to open on 15th May 2026.”
Earlier, the makers had shared that the film will release on April 2, 2026. However, it has now been confirmed that the film will hit the theaters a month after that.

The production team of the film recently shared a picture from the Jaipur sets, in which Akshay is seen warmly welcoming Tabu. The caption read, “Some things get better and iconic with time! @priyadarshan.official, @akshaykumar and @tabutiful are back in action after 25 years for #BhootBangla in Jaipur.” The reunion has been highlighted as one of the notable aspects of the film since its announcement.
The film also stars late actor Asrani. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Priyadarshan opened up about his last days on the sets. “He was in my last two films, ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and ‘Haivaan’. He is playing a huge role in both the films. I had just finished shooting for ‘Bhoot Bangla’ earlier, and he had not been working for a long time before that film. So he told me, ‘Nobody calls me. Thanks for calling me.’ These are also his last films and we shot both of them in just six months. So we really spent a lot of time together,” said the director.
