Bharat Deb Verma, husband of actress Munmun Sen, died today, November 19, at around 9 am in the morning at his home in Kolkata. We have learned that due to his deteriorating physical condition, an ambulance was sent from a private hospital in Dhakuria, Kolkata to take him to the hospital. However, before the ambulance could reach his residence, he breathed his last.

Bharat Dev Varma belonged to the royal family of Tripura. Bharat’s mother Ila Devi was the princess of Cooch Behar and elder sister of Queen Gayatri Devi of Jaipur. Bharat’s grandmother Indira was the only daughter of Maharaja Siyarji Rao Gaekwad III of Vadodara. He was married to actor Munmun Sen and is the father of actors Raima Sen and Riya Sen.
