After rocking Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in 2023, where Blue Ivy showed off her dancing skills, the mother-daughter duo made a splash at the iconic singer’s halftime show performance at the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game on Dec. 25 . The 13-minute spectacle was aired live on Netflix and is now available for streaming.
For the marathon set, the Grammy winner performed tracks from his genre-bending country album Cowboy Carter and was accompanied by a huge entourage, including his daughter, all dressed in white.
Turini told Harper’s Bazaar in an interview published Dec. 30, “When Bey said she wanted everyone in white, I knew we had to look at different textures, patterns and accents — whether that Be it fringe, suede, crystals or American flags.” She added, “But for Blue, you can play with her choices because she’s going to be different than anyone else, no matter what.”
Explaining that she had custom rodeo belts designed for the mother-daughter duo because she wanted the pair to have a connection, Turini expressed her joy when Blue Ivy chose her design, which went well with her dress. Kind of matched.
Blue appeared at the end of the halftime show when Beyoncé performed Texas Hold ‘Em. The singer gave a subtle nod to her daughter, making a discreet change to the lyrics as she sang: “Then turn me in the middle, Blue, I can’t read your mind.” Blue and Beyoncé then performed an elaborate line dance, before Beyoncé was taken to a height where a banner reading “Bang” was displayed.
