Vipin Agarwal, father of Sadegh Goyal, the sole survivor of the Dehradun crash that killed six people, said many rumors are being spread about the deadly accident. He appealed to people to avoid spreading rumors and show compassion towards the families of the victims and survivors. The father’s comments came after allegations that the group had been partying, drinking and racing their car before they were hit from behind by the truck. The father said he last spoke to his son before the tragedy, when Sadegh told him he was coming home. However, Aggarwal received a call from the police around 2 am on Tuesday, about half an hour after the accident occurred. The father pleaded for sympathy, saying, “We have lost six children. The families of these six children are in such deep distress that we cannot recover from this. One child is in the ICU right now and he is on a ventilator.” The car collided with the truck from behind, killing six people aged between 19 and 25 on the spot, while one person was seriously injured.
