The Apple Vision Pro is still the new VR headset on the block, but it comes with a hefty $3,499 price tag that puts it out of reach for most people. The latest Meta Quest 3 is a great alternative and while it’s certainly not a beast like Apple’s spatial computer, it’s still a great VR headset at a price that won’t make the eyes water.
Because Meta Quest 3 is still relatively new, deals are hard to come by. But buying the 128GB version will get you a free game, while the 512GB model will also get you Meta Quest Plus for six months. The game and subscription add up to about $100, so it’s a good deal if you look at it from that perspective.
Unlike the Meta Quest 2, the Quest 3 embraces virtual-reality and mixed-reality experiences, similar to the Apple Vision Pro and last year’s Quest Pro. It costs a lot less than both devices, however, which immediately gives it a huge advantage.
Other improvements over its predecessor include a new Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, better graphics, a higher-resolution display and improved controllers.

Newegg is offering a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 with Meta Quest 3 for $499. Upgrade to the 512GB Meta Quest 3 and you’ll get the same free games as Meta Quest Plus for six months, but the package will set you back $649.
Similar to the Newegg deal, Amazon’s offer includes both versions of Meta Quest 3 and a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 ($60 value). Go for the 512GB variant for $649 and you’ll also get a free six-month trial of Meta Quest Plus along with Asgard’s Wrath 2.
Best Buy is offering similar deals to Amazon and NewAgen. Buy Quest 3 128 GB or 512 GB and get a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2. Best Buy is also offering a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with your purchase.
Target has the same offer as the above retailers, including a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2. You’ll also save 5% when you pay with a Target RedCard, saving you up to $25.
Walmart is also offering a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 along with Meta Quest 3.
You can, of course, head straight to Meta to pick up the new Quest 3 headset. And you will see the same free game there. If you upgrade to the 512GB model, you’ll also get a free six-month trial of Meta Quest Plus.
Quest 3 is also available for purchase at B&H, and the 128GB model is currently $499, so there’s no discount here, although you do get a free game. If you pay with B&H’s own Payboo credit card, you can also get a tax refund as cashback.
GameStop is offering the same deal as other retailers, with the 128GB version getting Asgard’s Wrath 2, while the 512GB version gets both Asgard’s Wrath 2 and six months of Meta Quest Plus.
