Bengali actor Samrat Mukherjee arrested after motorcycle collides with car
Bengali actor Samrat Mukherjee was arrested in Kolkata after his car hit a motorcycle, leaving the motorcyclist seriously injured.
Actor Samrat Mukherjee has been arrested in Kolkata after his car hit a motorcycle. A complaint was filed against Mukherjee by a man named Souvik Halder, the driver of the four-wheeler.
The complaint alleged that the actor drove his car rashly and negligently on Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road and hit the victim, Saurav Halder (29), who was coming on his bike from the opposite direction.
As a result, the victim suffered serious injuries. He is currently admitted to SSKM Hospital. The accused person also damaged the boundary wall of a nearby house.
The investigation of the case is ongoing. Behala Police Station has seized Samrat Mukherjee’s car. On Tuesday, August 20, he was produced in Alipore Court of Kolkata. The court has sent him to police custody till August 23.
