Marvel Cinematic Universe is preparing its biggest chapter with Doomsde to release on December 18, 2026. The film will mark the beginning of the end for the multiculture saga, but the absence of a star from the official cast list has raised questions.
Benedict Cumberbach, who plays the role of Doctor Strange, was not included in the recent livestream declaration of 27 confirmed members. This surprised the fans whether the magician’s supreme was cut off from the film. Talking with Omelette (through the Avengers updates on X), Cumberbach replied with a fickle comment: “Who knows? Perhaps they had not enough chairs.”
His comment came after the conflicting update of months. At one point, the actor confirmed that he would appear in the film (then the Avengers: The Kang dynasty), but later stated that the Revetes had shifted his role for Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. Then he reversed the syllabus, told the internal formula of the business, “I am in it.” However, the artists did not include him.
Will Doctor Strange Avengers: Will you appear in Doomsde?
Marvel fans are quit asking whether Strange Avengers will play a role: Doomsde or if their story is being saved for sequel. Given his central role in Doctor Strange in The Multivars of Madness and its post-credit scene with Cly, it is likely that there will be some participation in the Strange. His knowledge about his knowledge and multivars makes him an important character in the conclusion of the saga.
Marvel Studios and Robert Downey Jr. have indicated that with the possibility of a second cast announcement before the film’s release, more surprising plans. If true, weird may still appear in the film, either in a small role or in secret wars in the post-credit scene.

Before Avengers: Doomsde hits theaters, many projects are scheduled in Marvel Studio through 2025 and 2026:

Fantastic Four: First Steps (25 July, 2025, Theater): As the first family of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ibon Moss-Bachrach star Marvel, Galactus is facing.
Vakanda’s eyes (August 6, 2025, Disney+): An animated anthology discovering the history and missions of warriors of Vakanda.
Marvel corpse (October 3, 2025, Disney+): Extends if …? Zombie episodes in a six-part horror series.
Wonder Man (December 2025, Disney+): Yahya Abdul-MaTIN II acts in a satire on Hollywood’s fame.
Spider-Man: A New Day (25 July, 2026, Theater): Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, reconstructing his life after home.
These projects will be carried directly to the Avengers: Doomsed, which is directed by Russo Brothers and presents Robert Downey Junior as Doctor Doom. The saga ended with Avengers: Secret War on December 17, 2027.
With Marvel Balancing New Heroes, X-Main Camos and Major Crossover, fans cannot know full artists until the film reaches theaters. For now, the words of Benedict Cumberbach suggests that doctors Strange may not be out of the fight yet.
