Benedict Cumberbach is calling Hollywood for its excessive waste, especially when it comes to the use of food, energy and plastic. During a recent appearance on Ruti’s Table 4 Podcast, Dr. Strange Star spoke honestly about his experiences and need for change behind the curtain in the entertainment industry.

“This is a fierce useless industry,” said Kamberbach. “Think of set builds that are not recycled, think about transport, think about food, think about housing, but also light and energy. The amount of wat capacity. You need to make daylight and frequent light in a studio environment.

He shared that on his film set, he encourages solo-utilized plastic bottles, stating that exceptions can be made in distance places such as deserts, more sustainable options in the 21st century should be standard.

As part of its efforts, Benedict Cumberbach is promoting more sustainable practices on its film set. They believe that small changes, such as eliminating single-utilized plastic, can create a meaningful difference. The Sharalak actor is currently the co-act of his upcoming film The Roses, Olivia Colman. The film is a modern renovation of Warran Adler’s 1981 novel The War of the Roses, which was previously adapted to the 1989 film starring Michael Douglas and Cathleen Turner.
