They were a prominent Hollywood couple, whose personal life often remained private. The couple did not publicly announce any issues before the filing and the news has taken many fans by surprise.
Foster and Prepon’s relationship began in 2016 when they were first seen together. Shortly afterwards they confirmed their engagement. In 2017, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ella. The pair tied the knot in 2018, the news of which Prepon shared on Instagram.
In one post, Prepon wrote, “Just married” alongside a photo of what appeared to be their wedding day. Thanking her friends and followers, she wrote, “Thank you all for your love and support. Wishing us all good things!”
The couple expanded their family with the birth of a son in 2020. However, they decided not to reveal her name to the public. In an interview later that year, Prepon explained that she and Foster had decided to shield their children from the spotlight.
“Everyone is different when it comes to posting pictures of their kids,” she said. “No judgment, do your thing. But my husband and I, we’re extra private when it comes to our kids.”
Throughout their marriage, Ben Foster and Laura Prepon worked hard to balance their careers and family life. Prepon, best known for her role on That ’70s Show, opened up about the couple’s approach to raising their children while pursuing challenging careers.
She said during a 2019 appearance on The Moms, “Ben and I are really great about if I’m at work, he’s (at home), and if he’s at work, I’m (at home). ) Am.” She acknowledged the challenges of managing work and home life but said that she and Foster consciously tried to support each other.
Prepon also shared that she felt guilty about not being able to spend as much time with her daughter Ella, but added that she was reassured knowing that her daughter would be proud of her efforts. “There’s really no solution. You just do it,” Prepon said.
The couple were known for keeping their personal lives, especially the lives of their children, relatively private. Prepon said that she and Foster’s decision to shield their children from public exposure was driven by their desire to allow them to grow up without the pressure of public attention.
