Directed by Amar Hundal, BB Rajni continues its impressive run at the box office. There is no sign of a dip in the collections of the Punjabi film. Starring Roopi Gill and Yograj Singh in the lead roles, this devotional drama has impressed the audiences, which is the main reason why the film is doing great business at the ticket window.
BB Rajini adds Rs 2.6 crore in third week
After earning an impressive Rs 5.60 crore in the first week, the film performed well in its second weekend as well, registering a magnificent Rs 6.10 crore, which is unusual for a film without a star face.
In its third week, BB Rajni faced a tough competition from Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di starring Gippy Grewal and Jasmin Bhasin which somehow affected its blockbuster wave. However, the film collected Rs 2.6 crore in its third week and earned a total of Rs 14.46 crore at the Indian box office in three weeks.
Interestingly, both Bibi Rajni and Ardaas 3 are devotional films. It has never happened before that both devotional Punjabi films have performed brilliantly and rocked the box office in the same week.
BB Rajini grosses Rs 30 crore worldwide in third week, a blockbuster
Apart from a great run at domestic cinemas, the film is also doing well in overseas markets. The Punjabi film has grossed a total of Rs 30.50 crore at the worldwide box office, of which Rs 13.50 crore came from foreign locations while India contributed Rs 17 crore.
Bibi Rajni showcases the story of four sahibzaades. It will be interesting to see if it is able to take advantage of National Cinema Day on its fourth Friday and see another jump in collections. This devotional film is relatively smaller in size compared to Gippy Grewal’s recent release Ardaas 3. However, it managed to attract the audience with its strong content and showed the potential to attract a large number of viewers by the end of its theatrical run.
