Anil Kapoor’s ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ has been creating quite a buzz ever since its launch. On the 20th day of the controversial reality show, rapper Naved Sheikh aka Naezy shared his story of overcoming parental disapproval of his rapping career. He also spoke to fellow contestant Ranvir Shorey about his love for films and the craft.

In the latest episode of ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, Naezy told Ranveer about his passion for rap and how his parents oppose it. He also revealed that he loves watching movies and listening to music, while his parents do not allow him to do so.

He said, “I watched a lot of movies when I was growing up. I used to sneak out to avoid my family.” When Ranveer asked him why, he replied, “At home, they forbade it – no theatre, no TV, no anything. No music either.”

When Ranveer asked if his parents were conservative, Naezy replied, “Yes, they were. I used to hide and roam around, and now I have become a rebel. It was very difficult to convince my parents, but in the last 10 years, they have understood to some extent. Now they tell me, ‘Go ahead and do what you like. Whether it is right or wrong, only Allah knows, and you know.’ That is our understanding now. However, other family members also complicated things a bit.”

Earlier, Naezy, who often shares glimpses from his life, revealed how he was dissatisfied with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’. While discussing the same with Sana Maqbool, he also showed interest in making his own version of the film.
