Payal Malik is the latest contestant to be eliminated from ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. As Bigg Boss fans would know, content creator Armaan Malik has two wives, first Payal and second Kritika Malik. After her elimination, in an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Payal spoke about the criticism the trio faced on social media and now for promoting polygamy on one of India’s popular reality shows.

Payal told us, “Our fans would know that we have never spoken about supporting polygamy. Be it our vlogs or interviews, we have never promoted it. Whatever mistake Armaan made, I don’t think any man in India should make that. We managed to maintain it, but I don’t think anyone else can do that. I think there is nothing more painful for a woman than her husband bringing another woman home. I don’t think anyone else can bear that.”

When asked how she survived that time, she replied, “Yes, I was definitely the most affected but it wasn’t easy for any of us. I can’t live without Armaan ji and neither can Kritika. On the other hand, he can’t leave any of us. When he got married again, I was deeply hurt and separated from him. I stayed away with my son for over a year and faced a lot of difficulties. Then I came back and we decided to sort out our issues. Today, thankfully, we are living peacefully as a family and I don’t think anything can ever separate us.”

According to the promo shared by JioCinema, Kritika says she has no problem sharing a towel with Armaan or Payal. When a co-contestant expresses surprise citing hygiene issues, she laughs, “When the husband shares it, what is a towel? (While I may share a husband, the towel is a small thing.) We asked the expelled contestant if such comments hurt her: “Krithika is a very cheerful person who likes to crack such jokes. She just said that in jest. I was there when she said it, she didn’t say it behind my back. I understand her tone and intention, so it’s not really a big deal.”

Payal Malik, in a recent interview, revealed how Armaan Malik never converted to Islam for his second marriage, as reported. When told that the Hindu Marriage Act does not allow more than one legal partner, she said, “I am his legal wife. Kritika and Armaan ji’s marriage is not legal. However, as far as I know, if the first wife has no problem with her husband remarrying, then it is not an issue.”

On a final note, Payal said that she encouraged Armaan and Kritika to play the game with all bravery even in her absence. “Because we were all inside, we didn’t know what was happening in the real world. Now, I can campaign better through my vlogs and social media. I told them not to worry about the kids or the house. I will be their biggest support and I hope they both reach the finale,” she concluded.
