Kabir Khan revealed that his daughter has dubbed Harshali Malhotra’s dialogue in the climax.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is an entertaining film with drama, comedy, action and lots of emotions. The climax of the film is so amazing that it leaves the audience teary-eyed. In the end, when Pawan manages to drop Munni safely to her home in Pakistan, the little mute girl finally speaks a few words that she had learned from Pawan.
Speaking to Mashable India, director Kabir Khan revealed that the climax audio that Harshaali Malhotra had recorded for her character was spoiled. And since they couldn’t bring the actress to the studio at night, they decided to get the dialogues dubbed by his daughter Saira Kabir.
Giving more information about this, Khan said that on the last day of mixing, around 11 pm, the team came to the conclusion that the part where the child artist says ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at the end of the film was not clear because they had lengthened it. Everyone was surprised at this.
This is when Khan called his wife late at night and asked her to bring their daughter to the mixing studio. He said, “My daughter was also 6 years old at that time. I called Mini and told her that you have to bring Saira along as well.” The little girl, who was sleeping at that time, was woken up and brought to the venue.
He then explained to her what to do. “I told her you have to shout Mama and Jai Shri Ram. The poor girl spoke the dialogue in her sleep and we recorded it and also gave her credit in the post-production sound. So, that’s how it happened,” the filmmaker concluded.
