Tripti Dimri came into the national spotlight last year when she starred opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s action-thriller Animal. The actress is all set to step into the world of comedy and release her debut film Bad Newz in 2024.

Tripti Dimri says comedy is a difficult genre for her
In the next few days, the audience will be able to see the magic that Vicky Kaushal, Tripati Dimri and Amy Virk have created in the comedy film Bad Newz. While the team is positive about tickling many funny bones with the film, the Animal actress feels that it is one of the most difficult film genres.
Sharing his experience of working on a comic caper after being a part of drama films like Bulbul and Kaala, he told IANS, “I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I think as an actor, it’s really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a bit difficult right from the beginning,” Dimri said, adding that in a way, it was really good for him.
The actress further added that “it was difficult” but overall, it was a good learning experience. She also expressed her desire to do action, drama, comedy and all kinds of roles.

In the same conversation, the Laila Majnu actress thanked director Anand Tiwari for trusting her in the film as no one has seen her do that level of comedy. She said, “It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk, because they are very talented and their comic timing is very good.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress has several other films lined up. After Bad Newz, she will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. Dimri also has Vicky Vidya’s Woh Wala Video and Shazia Iqbal’s Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi.
