‘Bad Newz’ received mixed reviews. IndiaToday.in gave the film 2 out of 5 stars. An excerpt from our review can be read: “Vicky Kaushal is the one weakling in the film. You feel sorry for the guy because he is going all out and saying those clichés with 100 per cent conviction. Not once does he step out of character or look defeated by the terrible dialogues and one-liners given to him. He looks at his best and has that superstar shine to him, which we haven’t seen in a very long time.”
‘Bad News’ was earlier named ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’. In this, Vicky, Tripathi and Amy are working together for the first time. This film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film also stars Neha Dhupia. It released on July 19.
